Little Players’ mission is to foster an appreciation of community theater and encourage self-development through the dramatic arts as students learn the skills and technical aspects of theater. Little Players has announced its 2018-2019 Workshops

Third to Fifth Grade Students
Sept. 8, Sept. 22, Oct. 13 and Oct. 27, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The students will explore acting principles of drama, design a set, and develop characters through skits, improvisational games and backstage techniques. By the end of the series, the participants will create their own variety show of their favorite skits and improv learned through Little Players. Limited to 18 participants. View the sign up form.
*The Kidz Variety Show will also be held at the Onida Elementary School on Sept. 2 and Oct. 13, 2018, from 2 to 5 p.m. View the sign up form.
Kindergarten to Second Grade Students
Jan. 12, Jan. 26, Feb. 9 and Feb. 23, 2019, at 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
The students will do an in-depth study of three short plays over the course of four workshops. Each month, they will explore a different play to recognize set design, dramatize a character and explain ways to improve personal role playing. By looking at a set of plays, they will learn to express personal likes and dislikes about various dramatic works and recognize quality theater structures. Limited to 18 participants.
