Pierre Players is looking for two Board members who will be active in the organization. Those wanting to serve on the Board do not need any theatrical experience. Must be available to help with box office for each show and attend monthly meetings and committee meetings. Submit a letter of interest to info@pierreplayers.com. Pierre Players will hold its annual membership meeting on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, 6 p.m., in the Encore Room of the Grand Opera House. All season membership holders are encouraged to attend. The meeting will be brief and provide information on the current state of the organization, its finances and plans for the future. The agenda includes reports from Pierre Players' president and committees, the yearly financial statement and the election of four Board of Governors members. Those retiring from the Board are Tom Valentine, Dan Bohman, Brian Walsh and Rodd Bauck.

Help Play a Part in the Arts
Pierre Players Community Theatre has four open seats on its Board of Governors. Pierre Players is looking for Board members who will be enthusiastic and active in the organization. Those wanting to serve on the Board do not need any theatrical experience. They must be able to help the organization set and achieve its growth and development goals. Pierre Players Board of Governors is a working board and is only as strong as the members who serve on it. Terms are three years, and Board members may serve two consecutive terms. The deadline to apply is Aug. 26, 2016. The four open seats will be voted on at Pierre Players Annual Membership Meeting in September. Learn more.

The meeting is brief and provides information on the current state of the organization, its finances and plans for the future. The agenda includes reports from Pierre Players’ president and committees, the yearly financial statement and the election of four new Board of Governor members. Those retiring from the board include Hannah Carda and Greg Peters. In addition, Rodger Hartley and Joanna Lawler are resigning from the Board.

Pierre Players is holding a fundraiser at Pizza Ranch
On Oct. 18 from 5-8 p.m. at Pizza Ranch in Ft. Pierre; please come out and enjoy a wonderful night, or order out for delivery, you can even help Pierre Players with an order for carry-out. Anyway you slice it (cheesy isn't it) Pizza Ranch will share the nights proceeds with Pierre Players; and gratuities will be accepted. Best part... we'll clear the dishes! Please stop for some pizza, chicken and salad bar to benefit Pierre Players. And of course there will be ice cream!
